How to Menu Plan with Trello
If you've been around my site for any amount of time, you've probably caught on to the fact that I'm kind of obsessed with food, grocery shopping, menu planning, and food prepping. I have posts on how menu planning can change your family's life, a post with 6 different menu planning methods, how to grocery shop intentionally, 11 tips for grocery shopping with your toddler, and recipes galore.
Food is my jam.
Get it? 'Cause food is a jam...
You may be wondering why I am sharing so many different menu planning options. It's simple: @@There is no one menu planning method that works for every single person.@@ My goal is to equip you to be the best mama and homemaker you can be and if that means showing you twelve different menu planning methods until you find the one that works for you, then that's what I'm going to do. And the method that works best for you may change with your life season, I know it changes every few months for me. Different things for different times.
I have a video below showing you exactly how I use the amazing program Trello as my menu plan. If you are unfamiliar with Trello, it's amazing. Trello is an online (it's also available as an app on your phone) tool for managing projects and tasks. It's made up of boards, lists, and cards and once you get the hang of the interface, it's so much fun! The interface reminds me a little bit of Pinterest so my guess is that you'll get the hang if it pretty quickly. 😉
While Trello is primarily used by businesses and entrepreneurs, it can totally be used as a tool for mamas + homemakers! I actually have an awesome little mini course called Trello for the Rockstar Homemaker where I walk you through how to use Trello as a digital homemaking binder. I walk you through everything from setting up your account to the Trello lingo to how to use each board. Oh, and I provide you with all of the boards you need to make a digital homemaking binder, you don't need to start from scratch!
Yeah, it's awesome.
You can learn more about the course by clicking here. The course is just $10 and includes 9 video lessons and 7 boards for you to copy into your own account. The course can be completed in less than hour but will help you stay organized for like ever. 💁🏼
The video below is pulled from the section of the course where I show you how to use Trello to plan your menu. When you sign up for the course you will receive the board I use in the video to use for yourself. Again, you won't need to start from scratch!

See how fun it is!? This a perfect menu planning option if you, like me, have a crazy toddler who really likes to rip up or color on any piece of paper he can find. #momlife.
This is also a great method to use to help you plan for the 2017 Happily Homemade Challenge! If you haven't heard of my epic free challenge, it's a 5-day challenge to cook 100% from scratch. And it's not your ordinary challenge, it includes email lessons when you sign up and the week before the challenge starts I will be hopping on Facebook live, 5 days in a row, with live cooking lessons to show you how to make things like veggie broth, biscuits, and more from scratch! Learn more and sign up for the challenge here.
What is your current menu planning method? Remember, it's totally fine if it changes occasionally (or even monthly).
