Women of the Bible Launch + Giveaway
Well, friend, here it is! @@The Women of the Bible is officially open for enrollment!@@ I am jumping up and down, hollering like a crazy person excited for this Bible study. It’s the first Bible study that I have put together to sell and it definitely won’t be my last! My hope is that through this study you will learn more about the Bible and be inspired to live an intentional, faith-based, joyful lifestyle.
What is Women of the Bible?
As I said, Women of the Bible is a thirty day Bible study and as you may have guessed, it covers women of the Bible. On each day of this self-paced study you will read about the life of a women from the Bible and then there will be questions and activities to help you dig deeper into your reading. Take a look at the screenshots from the course below to see how the course is set up.
As you can see, each chapter is broken into four sections: Meet [women from the Bible], Read It, Understand It, and The Big Picture. In the meet and greet section I will be introducing you to the women you are about to read about and give you a little background information on the time in which they lived. Then in the Read It section I have actually copied and pasted passages of the Bible right into the course so everything is in one place for you.
In Understand It there are questions and activities to help you learn even more. For example, one of the questions from the section on Abigail is “The Message Version of this passage uses words and phrases like “Abigail flew into action” and “Abigail didn’t linger.” She knew what she had to do and she did it without hesitation. Philippians 2:14 says, “Do everything without grumbling or arguing.” Did Abigail hesitate? Did she try to bargain with God about what to do? Is God asking you to do something that you have hesitated to follow through on?” And in the section on Jochebed one of the activities is to “reread the passage in a different version (I recommend NASB) and take note of any differences you see that help you to better understand the passage or that give you more details.”
In The Big Picture section I summarize the reading passage and the lessons we can learn from it and I also share these little (for lack of a better word) blurbs that share something the woman from the Bible did and then compare it to what we should do. Some of those little lessons are things we can do ourselves and some are examples of what not to do.
This course is designed to make your Bible study time easier, by having everything easily accessible and in one place, and to help you learn how to live by digging deep into the lives of women of the Bible.
