It's a BOY! + 20 Week Pregnancy Update

That's right!! We're having a BOY! His name is William Robert Barstow and is expected to arrive on June 24, 2014. We couldn't be more excited! It's been two days since we found out and it's finally setting in; we're going to have a son! I have no clue how to raise a boy, but I think that's how all first time parents feel whether it's a boy or a girl. I know that God has our son and his life in His hands and will provide for him and protect him. My little one is going to do amazing things with his life, no matter what he chooses to do! I love you already my handsome William.

Above are a few photos from this week's ultrasound. He was kicking so much that it was hard to get a clear picture. Isn't he just the cutest little thing already?! He is 100% healthy and we feel so blessed to have this guy in our family! And look at those little toes...most adorable thing ever!

How Far Along?

20 weeks (halfway!!)

Weight Gained:

5.5 lbs

Maternity Clothes?:

Going this weekend! My belly band does help but my jeans are still just slightly way too tight. Yes, I realize that sentence may not have made sense. Anyways, I certainly have a baby belly

Stretch Marks?:

I think I have some new ones on my boobs (sorry if that's TMI)  but I haven't noticed anymore elsewhere...maybe I just can't see anything else now that my belly has grown.

None. Zero. I don't sleep. One night I'll be up every two hours and up for quite awhile at one of those instances then I'll sleep a bit more the next and then the cycle just repeats. Even though I can't really feel William's kicks all that much yet, my body must not be able to sleep when he's moving around like a crazy kid.

Best Moment of the Week:

Our ultrasound of course! I got to see my little guy for the second time and boy was he moving around for the party! It was the most amazing thing to actually see his kicks (which are already powerful, I better get ready!) and I was able to see every little part of him, from his brain to each of his kidneys! Pregnancy truly is a miracle from God. He is such an artist!

Cravings are getting worse/more intense! This week has been ice cream with hot fudge, artichokes, jello with cool whip, cheeseburgers, subs, and generic brand multigrain Cheerios with soy milk. There's probably more but that's what I can think of right now.

Labor Signs?:

fatigue, fatigue, fatigue, and more fatigue. Also, frequent urination, tender breasts, severe back pain (for example, right now I'm laying in bed while I type this up with a heating pad on my lower back and if I get up I can barely walk), and constant hunger/cravings.

Wedding Rings On or Off:

I've been too tired to be moody. I am certainly crying at the drop of a pin more often and am much more touchy. Pretty happy since we got to see our little one again!
