Honeymoon in Boston
WE'RE MARRIED! We are now home and back to "real life" (boo) which means I'm back to blogging (yay). We had a great but tiring time in Boston and then spent most of our time at home [building Ikea furniture]. I have a few photos and stories to share with you from our honeymoon, but I honestly didn't take that many pictures. I didn't want to be stressed about needing to take pictures and missing the moments. Now I wish I had taken more photos, though. Ha. I'm a weirdo.
A little story first. We spent our wedding night at this amazing hotel in Lancaster,
, where the upgraded us (for free of course) to the presidential suite! It was the size of our first floor
and
had a jacuzzi in the sleeping area. Ah, so amazing! They also had an amazing continental breakfast on Saturday which scores the hotel major bonus points in our book. We then proceeded to drive for seven hours. Well more precociously, Seth drove while I slept on and off. We get to our hotel in Boston and I immediately have a bad feeling about it. The lady at the front desk barely made eye contact with us and the lobby was slightly sketchy looking (like it was once nice, but then they let it go a bit) and there was also no other staff around which was a bit creepy. We get to the room and it was so dirty. There were dents in the wall, the curtains were black on the bottom, the comforter looked gross and dirty, the sheets had stains on them, and it looked like the sheets weren't even on correctly because I could see the mattress. Needless to say, I refused to even sit down. After a few frustrated tears, we managed to find an affordable room at a nearby Hilton via our iPhones (I don't even want to know what would have happened had we not had our iPhones and Google). We hiked on over to the Hilton and were greeted by friendly faces and a very, very clean room. We've decided that we will always spend the extra money on a Hilton or brand name hotel.
Right around the corner from our new
clean
hotel was a Cheesecake Factory and a P.F. Changs. We both
love
the Cheesecake Factory and we had never been but always wanted to visit a P.F. Changs. Win! As you can see above, the Cheesecake Factory wrote congratulations on our delicious cheesecake.
our hotel at night
We found an awesome looking church across from a skyscraper covered in windows. The reflection was obviously pretty awesome.
We walked two miles from the Back Bay to the North End and Beacon Hill area. Kind of in between is the Boston Public Gardens where we stopped and shared a little pastry from a shop we found on our way.
the Old North Church
We stopped at the famous
and we each got gelato (I got a scoop of mint chocolate chip and a scoop of espresso and Seth got too scoops of m&m gelato) and picked out a cannoli which we shared later at the hotel.

Well, that's all from Boston. The rest of the week, we just went to Ikea and bought so much furniture. Seriously, we took two trips. I'll have photos of all of the house updates coming soon! Yay married life!
